Philosophy

  unique collections

We continuously move forward, trying to improve your buying experience and the range of products we offer.  We try to select the best fabric collections and systems available within the UK and Europe so that we can offer a wide choice of bespoke window blinds. We try to offer unique collections where possible and this is evident within the current hand painted Louise Body collection and Townhouse roller range.

  strive to provide excellent service

We genuinely strive to offer excellent customer service and overall buying experience.  Window blinds manufacture can be problematic due to the vast number of components required and the nature of working with fabrics.  We have stringent quality control measures in place and a full time quality control manager who oversees and rectifies any problems you may experience as a priority.

Values

  honesty & team work

We are honest, hard working and try to maintain a family feel within our business. Team work is at the heart of our company.  We constantly review our working practices and try to multi skill as many team members as possible. The factory, offices and break areas are designed to make staff feel comfortable whilst at work.

our story

Established in 1973 by Dennis Hollis, Rol-lite has come a long way and seen many changes since that first factory in the Lancashire Mill Town of Mossley.  Chairman Terry Hollis is the only member of the Hollis family who remains involved in the running of the business.

The present management team is made up of Terry, his financial director Jackie Tierney, operations director Alan Stirrup and managing director Gary Millican. Terry is quick to point out, however, that none of the plus points a family business set up brings have been lost in the new management structure. He explained: “Even though Rol-lite is no longer a ‘family business’, we still maintain that family business mentality. We try to make it as easy as possible for customers to deal with us – we don’t put obstacles in front of customers.”

This approach sounds simple but our offices and factory in Stalybridge are very much geared towards creating a comfortable working environment for staff, so they can deliver the best possible service for customers.

Terry  is a strong believer in ‘modern business’ and this isn’t only reflected in the revamped open plan office or clearly structured factory, but also in the investment in machinery and software that has improved efficiency throughout the business.  The recent appointment of a full time quality control manager signifies the focus on quality.  Today Rol-lite is a key employer within the local community and services over 1,000 retailers throughout the UK and Ireland.
